I I HEADLEY PAIR IN FAST MOVE Menow and Dah He Step Mile Over Hialeah Park Track in 1 :41 Leaving for Lexington. LEXINGTON, Ky April 5. The big news at Keeneland this morning was word received by Hal Price Headley, president of the Keeneland Association, that his Menow, leading two-year-old of 1937, and Dah He had worked a mile at Hialeah Park in 1:41, and that the pair with two other Headley-owned horses would be shipped from Miami tonight. The car is due to reach Lexington early Thursday morning and the horses will be vanned, immediately to Keeneland. Duval Headley, nephew of the owner, notified him that the works were most impressive and that the horses cooled out nicely. RANKING DERBY CANDDDATES. Menow and Dah He, in addition to being Blue Grass Stakes eligibles, are ranking candidates for the Kentucky Derby. Both are slated to make their appearances under colors prior to the Blue Grass Stakes, which tops the closing day program of the Keeneland spring season. At Calumet Farm, Warren Wrights Bull Lea breezed five-eighths in 1:03. The early morning showers only served to lay the dust on the six furlongs private track and the fine looking son of Bull Dog was clocked the quarter in :24 and the half-mile in :49. It served as a blow-out for a more strenuous move tomorrow. It was an off-day for Blue Grass Stakes and Kentucky Derby eligibles at Keeneland, where the track also was in its best condition, but nearly 100 other performers worked.
