TAUT, hard hustled to hold a contending position, moved through a wide opening at the stretch turn when the loaders swung wide, assumed command and came out slowly at the end. ISKIE, getting started slowly, saved ground while bettering his position and finished gamely. DICTY STEP was sent up. fast to engage ALL SPADES in the opening eighth, was moving into the lead entering. the. home stretch when he went very wide, was straightened out, held on willingly and appeared best. BLUE STAR raced prominently all the way, but was not good enough after losing ground. ALL SPADES was stoutly ridden, but failed to stay. NIKKI B. was held safe. TWO TRICKS, showing improvement over her recent race, displaced ANTE BELLUM readily, stalled off strong bids from DIE HARD until reaching the home stretch, then drew out swiftly when shaken up. ROBERT S., close up after being pinched back slightly midway of the back stretch, finished courageously when clear. DIE HARD broke fast, was a keen factor early, but tired under punishment in the final drive. MELODY MAID began slowly, but closed with a rush in the closing test. BOMAR, in very tight quarters while racing forwardly in the first half mile, rallied to punishment when reaching the home stretch, came through on the inside of the leaders and was up in the concluding strides. STAVKA, racing in improved fashion, displayed good speed while setting the pace and fought it out tenaciously when the real test came. COYA was a strong factor all the way and held on resolutely. BESS B., away poorly when she dwelt at the start, closed full of run. GOLD THORN tired after a stout bid at the stretch turn. LIGHT CRUISER raced well. SEMINOLE QUEEN fractious at the post, tired after going five-eighths. FREEPLAY dropped far out of contention when suffering interference after the start. Overweight Bess B., 3 pounds. PARK CITY, racing in his best form, had good speed to race forwardly placed, went to the pacemaker x gradually, gained command in the final eighth and held on stoutly to withstand JANE K. The latter worked her way up steadily, swung to the outside and fought it out stoutly when engaging the winner. NEVER CEASE was unable to outrun her field early, saved ground, but was not good enough when the final test came. HOUSEKEEPER came with a rush after dropping back early. PRIPO, usually a slow beginner was used up going with the leaders and hung when put to a drive. CRACK ALL was outrun. ZUMP lost ground". MISS HOLLYWOOD quit badly. GOLD COLOR also quit. PANTHER CREEK, having good speed, was rated back of the leaders for three-quarters, moved up stoutly on the outside when shaken up, finished determinedly in the stretch drive and was up nearing the finish. INDOMITABLE forced a swift early pace while in near pursuit of VITELIO, then fought it out strongly when the final test came. VITELIO was steadied in front while saving ground, but tired in the final eighth. FRANCESCO showed a good effort. GYRAL was away nicely, but could not gain command and raced below his true form. The latter raced on the outside and finished stoutly after going into contention. VEILED LADY settled into stride after beginning slowly and closed with a bold rush on the outside. ONE CHANCE rame with a great rush in the last three-sixteenths. HARPEN BELLE was rushed off her fret to get into the leadand failed to slay when the real test came. PEPPER PATCH showed a good effort. VELOCITER suffered repeatedly from interference when kept on the -inside from the start. STAR LOOM was used up early. STONE MARTIN fell nearing ,the three-eighths post. FIGHT TALK, showing great improvement, sprinted into a commanding lead, saved much ground, but flattened out fast in the final eighth. MAKEIT went well placed, shut off BAILIWICK when the latter attempted to get through on the inside at the far turn, and held on strongly to the finish. FOUNDER was well up for seven-eighths, then tired. ATTAINMENT closed gamely. GEORGIA MEADEN failed to improve her position. HERONDAS tired early. THE TRIUMVIR raced poorly. The latter worked her way into contention steadily, came to the outside in the final drive and was catching the winner at the end. FAR CRY, crowded back going to the first turn, settled into his best stride and closed gamely after swinging wide into the home stretch. BIG GAWK was kept on the inside all the way and raced in the softer footing. ETHELS CHOICE tired when the real test came after being steadied. COUNT ME raced well in spots. FOREIGN LEGION was never dangerous. SPEEDY SKIPPY and SHOWABAL were rushed off their feet in the early racing. Scratched 56087 Blue King, 113.
