BYRDFORD went to the front at once to open up a good lead and, racing strongly to the end, was never in serious danger. LUCUBELLE had speed from the start and showed TCrgood effort. STRIDENT went well and raced gamely to the finish. HIS WEST was in close quarters soon , after the start, but made up much ground. ROSUN had some early speed. BONYNGE, closest to SKY BABY in the early running, wore down the latter in the stretch and, getting to the front an eighth out, drew into a safe lead. SKY BABY raced to the front at once to open up a commanding lead while setting the pace, but tired and could not resist the winner. VIEWPOINT was in -close quarters while racing on the inside. AKSALA was going gamely in the middle of the track at the end. BORDER RUFFIAN raced in four bandages and was through after going a half mile. The rider on HASSAN lost one of his stirrup irons during the race and could not do the horse justice. Overweight Ripping, 3 pounds; Ready Money, 1. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. MISS AMIE, close up from the start, was sent through a narrow opening on the inside on the stretch turn to take command and opened up a safe lead while saving ground in the stretch. AUXILIARY outbroke the others and remained well up throughout to finish gam ely. DAYBREAK was badly outrun to the stretch, then raced wide, but made up some ground though pulling up sore. COUNSELLOR FAL tired badly in the stretch. BON FUME began slowly and showed a weak effort. GODSPEED was never dangerous. Overweight Miss Amie, 3 pounds; Auxiliary, 1. Won driving; second and third the same. DANKE SCHQN went to the front early and, rated perfectly while setting the pace, raced gamely after being caught by CHANCE LINE and took the decision in a very close finish. CHANCE LINE lacked early speed and was in rather tight quarters on the back stretch, then came fast on the outside when clear and finished on almost equal terms with the winner. KING ROYALE was in close quarters in the stretch and showed a creditable effort. SKY PIRATE tired after showing early speed. INFINATA tired in the stretch. The others seemed outclassed. GALLACLAY close up from the start, might have fared better had he been hustled along, but he raced well and was slowly gaining under pressure at the end. LITHOROME saved ground throughout and finished fairly well. OUR CAROLYNE never seriously threatened the First two and raced rather wide in the stretch.
