1 LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES g . , s Alex Gordon, who is reported to be considering offers for his services as trainer, may make known his plans upon his return from Lexington. In past years he has handled many important stables and a number of high-class horses. . Four horses, which H. H. Brown will campaign in Kentucky under his wifes colors, are Flaming Torch, Dixie Flapper, More Gal and Son Richard. The quartet arrived here recently from Florida. J. P. Keezek has arrived at Douglas Park from Hot Springs with two horses. Another arrival was A. L. Lloyd with My Wo, which raced in Florida this winter. C. Ferguson is awaiting word from Keene-land as to when stalls for the horses he plans to race there will be available. He plans to ship Josh, Storm Warning, Shining Heels, Pierre Andre, Dinah Do and the two-year-olds Epidor, Doc Jock and Steady Don. Members of the license committee of the State Racing Commission are preparing to meet in Lexington prior to the regular annual pre-season session of the commission which probably will be held in the same city on the eve of Keenelands opening. Because of the acute stall situation prevailing at Keeneland, a division of the stable of Thomas Piatt may be transferred here this week. Several head belonging to J. D. Weil also may give up quarters at the Lexington course provided they can be accommodated here. The crack tworyear-old filly Oddesa Beu-lah, and five others belonging to the Oddesa Farms arrived here Wednesday from Oak-lawn Park. The others were Oddesa Girl, Oddesas Pride, Oddesa Billy, Imperial Polly and Jay Bee Jay. A big division of this stable has been at Churchill Downs for some time. The filly She Did, a half-sister to He Did, was vanned here from Lexington and taken over by J. Tommy Taylor. Another recent arrival from Oaklawn Park was the stable of C. N. Mooney of Canada. It includes Teddy Haslam, Lassies Mary, Westys Hero and Semester. Jim Gass also shipped Just Frank from Oaklawn Park. Stuart Vail was one of the latest jockeys to put in an appearance at Churchill Downs. Mose Goldblatt is expected from Cincinnati to take over the training of the stable he has at Churchill Downs. The horses arrived from Florida a week ago.
