PRIPO worked her way to the leaders stoutly after settling into stride, went to the front with a rush nearing the home stretch and drew out rapidly approaching the finish. BAY STOUT, away fast but lacking early speed, improved her position on the outside and closed gamely, but could not reach the winner. CAROLINA KID showed speed for five-eighths, but tired badly. SAGITTOS passed tiring horses through the late stages. BETNABAR was prominent for five-eighths, then tired. MARY STOLL tired after going a half mile. ARTISTICALLY raced wide. SOCIAL SEA quit badly. PINCHOT, racing on the outside, moved up strongly nearing the home stretch and closed fast between horses to get up in the last stride. STINGY Worked his way up steadily, swung to the outside and finished full of run. SPEED LIMIT was a stout factor while racing on the inside early and held on willingly to the finish. STAVKA gained a slight lead at the turn but of .the back stretch, and continued stoutly to gain a dead heat for third position. BERNARDINE W. had to be hard ridden while racing forwardly, saved ground and finished on the inside of the field. PRINCE DANNY showed a good effort. BLUE FLAME was prominent from the beginning and held on well to the finish. JANE K. saved much ground in the late stages but failed to threaten the leaders. MISS MIN recovered after being forced back entering the back stretch and came gamely near the finish. HINDU PRINCESS was taken up at the start -and then rushed to her field, but tired badly. MIXWELL, forcing a swift pace while in close attendance of REBEKAH, withstood a stout driven when reaching the home stretch, overhauled the pacemaker and barely lasted long enough to withstand LADFIELD. The latter, racing in his best form and a strong factor all the way, fought it out stubbornly. REBEKAH had to be rushed hard to gain command, displayed good speed, but faltered in the final eighth. PUNDIT, lacking early speed, closed a big gap at the end. PORDINA tired after going five-eighths. FIFTH RACE 5 1-2 FURLONGS Out of Chute. The latter, well up in the early stages, was permitted to drop back after going, three-quarters, but came with a rush when shaken up in the final quarter. CONRAD MANN was taken to the outside on the back stretch, moved up fast to reach the winner, but hung nearing the finish. BOMBER tired after being displaced. BLAZING MEMORY recovered quickly after being crowded entering the back stretch, gained steadily under a drive and was catching the winner at the close. KAI SOU closed with good energy while saving ground in the late stages. MISS HOLLYWOOD raced well placed and had no excuse. ZUMP raced evenly. CHECK SIGNAL appeared sore and raced poorly. FOREIGN LEGION, beginning slowly, swung to the outside when making his run, closed strongly in the last half mile and was up in the final strides. GEORGIA MEADEN, interfered with in. the early racing, was taken to the inside when working her way to the leaders, luckily gained racing -room on the inside of MALICE and fought it out willingly under a weak finish. BLIND BROOK was a strong factor for the entire trip and held on well to the finish. BOMBASTIC finished with a belated rush. MALICE was much used getting to the front and tired in the closing drive.
