09 MINOR DERBY ELIGIBLES MEET Glenview Purse Todays Headliner at Keeneland Park Track. Birthday Only Non-Derby Eligible Among Trio Named to Start Other Attractive Races. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 25. Four second- , ary candidates for the Kentucky Derby will be under colors in the Glenview Purse, fifth event of tomorrows program at Keeneland. Birthday, which split Bull Lea and Menow at the end of one mile and one-sixteenth in the Mereworth Purse last Thursday, is the non-eligible and he is coupled with Gangplank, which was vanned here from Churchill Downs to carry Mrs. Helen Hay Whitneys Greentree Stable colors. Kings Heir, a Blue Grass Stakes and Derby eligible, has been named for the Castleton Purse, the secondary feature of the program which will bring Miss Dolphin, Bacon, Cross Bow II., Reaping, Silverette and several other top-notch sprinters under colors. TEST RACE. Kings Heirs effort will determine whether he will represent Dixiana in the Blue Grass Stakes Thursday. Opposing the Greentree pair in the Glenview, which will be run over one and one-sixteenth miles, will be Joe Metz Gov. Chandler, Valdina Farms Lassator, and J. W. Parrishs Knee Deep. Lassator will tote 120 pounds, with Gov. Chandler next in line of weights under 117 pounds. Gangplank, Knee Deep and Birthday will pack 115 pounds each, Knee Deep being favored with the apprentice allowance. Supporting the dual attractions are five other good races and a substitute to be used in the event one of the carded events is called off. With the attractive card tomorrow, local patrons are assured of wonderful racing for the final three days of the spring season. The Lafayette Stakes will feature Wednesdays program, and the Blue Grass Stakes, a Kentucky Derby preview, will be offered on closing day.
