1 KEENELAND TURF NOTES s "Buddy" Wingfield motored over from Cincinnati for Saturdays sport. He is awaiting the opening of River Downs, where he will do the starting. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gentry came from their farm in Ohio for a brief visit and to hold a reunion with Olin, Charles and Raymond Gentry. Only one of the five Gentry brothers was absent. George S. Morris, trainer of the G. C. Scott horses, vanned the following racers to Churchill Downs Saturday to be prepared for racing at the Falls City track: Blue Star, King Jay, Hasty Ruth, Pertladdie, Say When, Kittys Rival, -Hoosiers Pride, Sweet Showno. The fourteen horses that J. P. Sallee has at Keeneland for Thomas Piatt, Lexington breeder and sportsman, will be transferred to Churchill Downs during the week. Five of the string are already at the Louisville track. Two more horses have been added to the schooling list by trainer William Hamilton. ! Silver Sarah and Wild Day were responsible ! for the delay in their races, the latter finally being placed on the outside for the start. Jockey Warren Cornay donned the silks for the first time since his suspension at Tropical Park Saturday afternoon and plans to ride out the rest of the season here, then go to Churchill Downs to ply his profession. . Ten horses that J. H. Skirvin is training for the Cleveland sportsman, A. C. Ernst and Mrs. J. H. Skirvin were, shipped to , Suffolk Downs Monday from Keeneland. The outfit includes Al au Feu, Al-High Al-servant, Alsang, Alup, Alpi, Bulldozer, Alergy, Alspur and Jubilesta. William E. Smith, member of the Kentucky Racing Commission, who has spent ! the last few days in Lexington, will return to his home in Louisville and plans to return for the running of the Blue Grass Stakes on closing day. Tom Moran, who will have charge of the jockey quarters at Beulah Park during the spring meeting at the Grove City track .and who is in charge of the stables at Keeneland, departs the latter part of the week to prepare for the opening of the Ohio track. The five horses B. B. Rice has under hla supervision for Leo W. Ulmer and one the property of Bernard Robinson, will be transferred to Suffolk Downs shortly for campaigning during the spring and summer. Screen, Charmed Circle, Topoco, Dick Ulmer, Sis Lottie and Winfred West, all of which were wintered at Keeneland, are in the consignment. The Milky Way Farms Mountain Ridge, chief Kentucky Derby reliance of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars, and Warbridge, which competed on Saturdays program at Keeneland Park, ! were vanned back to Churchill Downs and j are fulfilling their engagements to join the i main division of the stable.
