NANDI. away slowly, was hustled forward and rated in close attendance of the pace, saved ground, slipped through on the inside in the final eighth, wore down the leader and drew out in the final strides. HAPPY FIND worked its way forward steadily on the outside, closed with a rush and outfinished BOBS FIRST The latter was hustled into the lead at once, shook off MAPLE TINTS entering the stretch, then faltered in the final staaes. GIFT O GAB made up ground. MAPLE TINTS quit through the final eighth. TORCHEEN was caught in close quarters soon after the start and was taken up, then made up ground. ZEVWEE tired. NOVETTE. hustled into the lead at once, was steadied along in the lead the first half mile, was shaken up sharply entering the final eighth and drew clear in the final sixteenth. ARABIAN MYTH followed in close attendance of the pace the first half mile, made a bold bid to reach the lead entering the final eighth, but was unable to hold the winner in the final stages. JUB JUB worked its way forward on the outside to make up ground. TOE DANCE forced the early pace then faltered badly. CHIPS closed with a rush MELOY raced evenly. GOLD CLIP quit. SOLAR TIME, much the best, sprinted into the lead at once, was steadied along under steady restraint the first turn of the field, drew away thereafter and won galloping. MR. PECK, slow to settle in his best strides, worked his way forward after the first mile, closed gamely, but was no match for the winner. JACK BELL, forcing the early pace, tired badly. CORNELS COURT could never threaten. PIPERS SON stumbled at the ninth hurdle and unseated his rider. MOUNT ROYAL was outrun and pulled up after leaving the eizhth fence. PITCHBLENDE, on the outside throughout in a good_ effort, raced evenly. GENE D. was hustled into the lead from the start and set the pace to the stretch, then faltered when the real test came. BEECHVTEW saved ground throughout. CARELESS KNIGHT raced evenly. BELLEDARE could never threaten. OCALA quit badly after displaying good early speed. POMPOUS PETER was away slowlv. STORMBLOWN, slow to settle into its best stride, trailed the field to the final quarter mile, found racing room next to the inner rail in the stretch, then closed with a rush and was going away at the end. EPICURUS, rated back of the speedy pace for three-quarters, came to the outside entering the stretch and took command in the final eighth, but was unable to contend with the winners closing rush. FORE ISUS was hustled forward on the outside entering the stretch, then hung in the drive. CARACOLE forced the early pace, then quit after three quarters. SKYROS tired after three-quarters. TABMARK quit. RED PIRATE had speed for five-eighths. Scratched— 57781 Troublemark, 103. Overweight — Stormblown, 3 pounds ; Caracole, 2. EIGHTH~RACE FmILE AND 70 YARDS. The latter, well placed throughout, closed with good courage and was overtaking the leader at "the end. GRAND VIEW closed with a rush through the stretch YOUNG JOHN raced evenly. CUDGELDOE could not threaten. HOUSE AFIRE showed =a good effort! FINALIST raced on the outside throughout.
