HURRY HAWK IN POPULAR WIN Graduates From Maiden Ranks in Winning Fourth Race at Aurora — Barcardi Sweep Scores. AURORA, 111., May 26.— Hurry Hawk, sporting the colors of J. T. Withers III., was one of the most popular winners at Aurora this afternoon when he accounted for the fourth race, a contest of a mile and seventy yards which engaged a field of maidens, three-year-olds and older. With Leland Lake at the reins, the six-year-old son of Sun Hawk came from behind in the last quarter and got up inside the last sixteenth to score with a length and a half to spare at odds of 13 to 10. Second to complete the distance was Luckingo while Trapper ran third and Whatim fourth. Luckingo took the lead here after a quarter and showed the way well into the stretch but she could not stall off the winner although she was easily the best of the others in the field of eight. She took the place four lengths in advance of Trapper while Whatim was another two lengths away at the wire. BAIN FALLS. Threatening weather again prevailed for the sport and just after the fourth race was decided rain began to fall. The overcast skies kept away many fans, although a fair-sized crowd still was on hand for the card of seven events. Barcardi Sweep, owned by "Butsey" Hernandez was made an odds-on favorite in the first race and he did not disappoint, although he completed the mile " and a furlong only a neck before Vin Noir. Captain Danger was third and Wardell Ormont fourth. R. Morgans La Monte took an early lead in the six furlong second race and was never headed. Jockey Jack Richard had little more to do than to keep his mount going in the run through the stretch to land her in front by two and a half lengths, as Swift Spot beat Helen Macaw a head for the place.
