CHEROLIZE was kept in a forward position while racing straight from the start, responded to urging in the final eighth and outlasted SISTER REIGH in the final drive. SISTER REIGH showed speed from the start on the outside, responded when urged entering the final quarter mile, but could not stand off the winner. CITY JUDGE showed a good effort from the start and held on well to outstay CANTWELL. The latter was sent into command at the start, showed speed and then hung at the finish. DOROTHY POMP showed a flasri of early speed and then quit. MAENOMIC raced well from the start. BILLABONG showed an even effort throughout. CULDEE finished well. CLONARD jumped well, was rated along under steady restraint, moved into command again at the eleventh fence when KOSAN stumbled, stood a long drive and bumped the latter after taking the final fence. KOSAN, rated along under steady restraint the first turn of the field, moved into command with a rush after taking the tenth fence, stumbled at the eleventh, recovered quickly and was going strong when bumped. BIG MARCH was kept forwardly under restraint the first part but flattened out when urged in the final half mile. NAVARIN showed an even effort all the way. SENOIA could not negotiate the footing. BLACK RHAPSODY showed speed from the start, but tried to bear out rounding the far turn, responded to severe urging in the stretch run and outlasted EARLY TIMES in the final drive. The latter, slow to begin, improved his position steadily while working his way up and finished fast. HARVESTING responded when urged in the stretch run and closed well, but could not menace the leaders. TOBY TYLER showed an even effort all the way. EPICAL could not keep up. NIGHT BUD was away slowly, FERRYBOAT showed early speed but tired badly after chasing the early pace. DORSETT outran his field early, but faltered steadily when challenged. BONNY IMP raced gamely throughout and finished couraeeously. PATAPSCO showed an even effort. ALEXANDRINE, under restraint the first part, made a determined bid when urged when settled in the stretch, but faltered at the finish. CITADEL showed speed while saving ground, raced MISS RAINBOW into defeat, then Quit. SNOW FLURRY was outrun from the start.
