HANDCUFF IN LONG WORK BELMONT PARK, N. Y., May 26.— Brook-meades Handcuff, winner of the Acorn Stakes and outstanding candidate for next Thursdays renewal of the Coaching Club American Oaks, was sent over the mile and three-furlongs distance of that race this morning by trainer Hugh Fontaine, going in 2:22 handily. The daughter of Which-one and Tenez went the quarter in :25, half in :50, three-quarters in 1:15%, mile in 1:41%, nine furlongs in 1:55 and mile and one-quarter in 2:08.
