. ORPEN JOCKEY CONTEST i TORONTO, Ont, Oct. 6. Great interest has been created among the riders at Long Branch by the Orpen Jockey Contest to be run on the fourteen days racing at the Long Branch and Dufferin meetings. The contest will be decided upon the point basis with five points for a winning mount, three for a second and one for third. The winning rider will receive 200, second 100 and 50 to i each rider who accumulates 55 points or! more during the period. Wm. H. Graff has been named contest manager. Sterling Young was off to a flying start when he j earned 14 points on opening day. C. Mc- j , Tague received 10, H. D. Birley 8, C. Ralls J " 6, Remillard and A. Schmidl 5 each.
