TYPHOON AT MANILA MANILA, P. I., Oct. 6 Sixteen deaths and widespread damage were recorded today as the most severe typhoon of the season blew out into the China Sea. The storm cut a path of havoc through nineteen provinces, flattening buildings, paralyzing communications and destroying crops. Most of the deaths were at sea, where small fishing craft could not be warned of the approaching storm.
