McCARTYS JUVENILE RATINGS Saratoga Handicapper Puts El Chico at Top of 1938 Youngsters Porters Mite Second. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Nov. 18. Joe McCarty, widely-known local handicapper, today released his ratings on the 1938 juvenile division. These show William Zeig-lers unbeaten El Chico, which captured the Hopeful here, at the top with a rating of 130 pounds. The diminutive son of John P. Grier and La Chica also is expected to head Jack Campbells experimental handicap, which will be published later in the winter, Frank J. Bryan will release another handicap on two-year-olds and has indicated that he will rank George Wideners Eight Thirty at the top. McCarty has W. E. Boeings Porters Mite second on his list, with 126 pounds, four pounds under El Chico. Porters Mite gained his high place through a world-record run in the Champagne Stakes, which he followed with a smashing victory in the Belmont Futurity. Third in McCartys ratings is Eight Thirty, one pound under Porters Mite. Johnstown, William Woodwards homebred, comes next with 123 pounds. Then are bracketed Challedon, W. L.
