ANCIENT TIMES dropped back soon after the start, was outrun for three-eighths and made up some ground. SUN MARTIN had no excuses. GAN LEE quit. CHRONOLOGY forced the early pace under pressure, but tired in the drive. DON GOMEZ swerved at the start, impeded MORCRY, made up considerable ground and showed a good effort. SPORTING MAUDIE was carried out on the first turn and lost much ground, then improved her position gradually in the back stretch.
