TANF0RAN TURF NOTES f s Jockey Harry Richards accompanied Woolf on the trip west, but his destination was San Diego, where Mrs. Richards is convalescing since the birth of her son. J. Wray departed for Agua Caliente with four head, the shipment getting away Wednesday night, the string being headed by the consistent Suspension, which triumphed in her last two engagements. Dr. E. Lovell, nationally known veterinarian, is an arrival at Tanforan from Kansas City, Mo. A. E. OConnell has extended his string to six head, having acquired the five-year-old San Leandro from Mrs. T. Loeff at private terms. The OConnell string got away for Agua Caliente Friday morning and is making the trip by van. Among the horsemen to take their initial trip to the coast for the winter season of racing is W. J. "Buddy" Hirsch, son of the veteran Maxie Hirsch. It is understood the string under the direction of the younger Hirsch is slated to leave Pimlicp Thursday. There will be ten head in the consignment, billed to Santa Anita. Fred Finch, manager of the extensive string of thoroughbred show horses of R. M. Carpenter, is due to arrive at Tanforan Friday to arrange for the shipment of the horse King of All, recently acquired from A. Phillips. The horse is a full brother to King Vulture, champion show horse in the heavyweight hunter class and cost Carpenter the sum of ,500 to obtain him from Phillips.
