FINDON was steadied along back of the pace until the last three-eighths, moved up gradually and, taking command before reaching the stretch, drew out steadily during the last three-sixteenths. STOP LIGHT dwelt when the start came and was away slowly, began picking up the leaders near the far turn and closed stoutly to turn in an impressive performance. WEST SEA, shuffled back in the run to the first turn, came with a belated bid through the stretch. MAD KERRY had good speed in the going, but faltered through the final quarter. COUNT CLOPORTE was never a factor. OCLEARY was unable to reach the leaders. LINAS SON, at home in the going, was prominent from the beginning, gained the lead in the run through the back stretch, increased his advantage steadily and won as his rider pleased. NELLIE Mc, in the first flight from the start, continued with good energy to the close. MISS DE MIE had good speed while in closest pursuit of the pace and saved ground entering the stretch, oniy to tire in the last sixteenth. FUMBLE, closer to the pace than usual, was unable to close any ground under pressure. SQUIRREL, away well, dropped back steadily and was unable to reach the leaders thereafter. LUNSFORD was unable to keep up. IDLE ELF, away alertly, was steadied along in pursuit of the pace until reaching the stretch, moved up on the outside, but bothered by GOLDMAN when the latter began bearing out, recovered gamely and held on stubbornly to the end. GOLDMAN was hustled to the front, opened up a good lead and was under vigorous urging to stave off the winner and, bearing out, was soon straightened away and fought it out in courageous fashion to the end. VIAJERO was well placed all the way and continued willingly to the close, although unable to threaten the first two. COUNT COTTON was slow to begin and, outpaced for the first three-eighths, came determinedly thereafter. HIGH TREASON, unruly at the post, was started from outside the stalls and followed in closest pursuit of the pace for the first half mile, then flattened out badly when placed under punishment. MINEY MYERSON, sore going to the post, was placed in contention through the back stretch, dropped back nearing the far turn, but held on well in the final drive. CARDINALIS was rated along back of the pace early, moved up on the inside entering the stretch and, despite being placed under severe punishment, was unable to seriously endanger the winner. MARSON raced an even pace throughout. PLAY DIS wore down tiring horses through the last eighth. GAY BALKO quit badly after the opening half mile. Overweight Marson, 2 pounds; Play Dis, 42. ESPINACA moved up steadily in the run through the back stretch to dispose of ALL AGOG for command, opened up a good lead and was never seriously menaced, though ridden out smartly to the close. EL BAILARINO was taken in hand and steadied along back of the pace midway through the back stretch, responded gamely to pressure through the stretch and was going stoutly at the end. GRAND JESTER dropped back after rounding the first turn, moved up steadily after rounding the far turn and loomed up menacingly, only to tire during the closing eighth. TIEMPO was well placed throughout, but was unable to go with the leaders in the final test. GRANDPAS BOY made up some ground. ALMAC was unable to reach the leaders.
