WRACKFIELD, rushed into contention early, was taken in hand to follow the pace of BELS BEAU closely to the stretch, then raced to the front and drew away in the last eighth. INAUGURATION was allowed to drop far back of the leaders in the early part and made up much ground in the last half mile. BELS BEAU set the pace under clever rating, but was not good enough to last, tiring in the stretch. ENIMRAC was close enough in the early stages, made little impression when let down and seemed a trifle lame after pulling off. GOLDEN NUT had no excuses. FENCE RIDER was never a serious contender.
