Apprentice Leonard Scott, under contract to Charles S. Howard, arrived here Saturday morning from Maryland. Scott, a native of Sabinal, Texas, is a lightweight, tipping the scales at eighty-four pounds, and is 16 years old. The youngster gives good promise of developing into a capable rider and trainer M. Elmer OConnell has shipped the plater Blindfold to Agua Caliente, where he will join the stable OConnell already has at the Mexican track. Jockey Bernard Fels arrived here last week from Chicago and will do the riding for the Schwartz stable, which recently arrived from the midwestern city. Trainer R. Hoffman, in charge of the J. F. Gunn horses, has transferred his four charges to Tanforan after the return of Gunn, who had been visiting in Los Angeles. The quartet is comprised of Lauras Pride, Canyonconard, Orphan Conard and Smoky Jack. Infinite Lady, recently acquired by the Ventura Stable, will be under colors soon, according to advice obtained from trainer Fitz Gerald. The filly has been inactive since the recent Hollywood meeting.
