MAIL EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS WASHINGTON, D. C, Nov. 22. Mail early for Christmas Extra Early this Xmas. The post office department today sounded its annual warning to those who would have their Yule gifts delivered before Santa Claus arrives, and added the word "extra" because the holiday falls on Sunday and will be celebrated legally the following day. The gist of the departments statement was this: "Plan your mailing as though Xmas fell on Saturday, December 24, and everything will come out just right." Your gift and greet- ings will be on time for St. Nicholas, and the toil-worn mailman will get home in time to tnwrap his own presents."
