TANFORAN TURF NOTES -S Aytee, a three-year-old colt which races in the interest of Ar J. Jergens, has been vanned up from the Rancho San Luis Rey, where he has been turned out for several months. R. E. Cooper will start the colt back in training for the winter racing. R. S. Mose has purchased the three-year-old filly Disgrace from R. McDaniel. Terms of the sale were private. Jockey Clyde Turk departed Tuesday night for Agua Caliente, where he will ride free lance. Turk plans to return to Tanforan early next week. Condition books for the first four days of racing at Agua Caliente were distributed among horsemen here at Tanforan by R. F. "Clocker" Brown. A mixed carload of horses left Tanforan Tuesday for Agua Caliente. W. D. Buck shipped six head, D. Porter four, and R. F. Carman and W. H. Harris, each shipped one horse. Jockeys C. Bianco and C. E. Owens departed for Agua Caliente over the week-end. Both riders will ride free lance at the Mexican track. Bummer Bill was excused out of the eighth race Tuesday because of a sore back. Jockey Carl Bierman arrived Tuesday from Narragansett Park. Bierman will do the riding for the L. B. Mayer stable at Tanforan. Jockey Silvio Coucci, who arrived at Tanforan Monday, accepted mounts Tuesday. He spent the night at the baths to get down to weight and was listed on four horses. Basil Smith, who will act as agent for jockey Longden, was accepting mounts for Americas leading rider Tuesday morning and Longden was named on several horses for Wednesday. Another arrival was jockey Bernard Fels, who will do the riding for the Schwartz stable. Jockey F. McCormick was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for his rough riding tactics aboard Sir Ridgway, a winner Saturday. McCormick was held guilty of causing unnecessary interference during the running of the race. Sir Ridgway shut off Broadway Breeze, one of the choices in the event;, causing that animal to lose all chance.
