f TANFORAN TURF NOTES ? 5 Albert Sabath, former president of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association, which operates Hawthorne, was a visitor at Tanforan. Aaron Harvey, inventor of the "Eye-in-the-Sky" camera, in use at Tanforan, has been a visitor at the track for the past week. Trainer Ted Horning has sent three horses from the W. E. Boeing stable to Santa Anita via van. The trio are Inauguration, Nitka and Dipperconard. Charles W. Shaw, Jr., has shipped Salir, Kluani and Baganora to the Rancho Casitas at Ventura to be rested up. Jockey C. Hanford was an arrival from Bowie but has not yet made application for a license. He will ride at Santa Anita. Mrs. J. F. Waters is dividing her stable and sending a number to Agua Caliente in charge of Joe Luddy, who will train them. Those headed for the Mexican track are Tentmate, Extra Special, Bonouri, Victorian Star, Sergt. Hlavin, Make and Break, Mind Reader and Golden Ivy. The remainder of the Waters string will be campaigned at Santa Anita in charge of trainer JEual Wyatt. Jockey W. Leishman was an arrival from Narragansett. Robert Johnson has been granted a trainers license and will condition the horses of Burkhardt and Stilley as well as those of J. Hlavin. Robert Rossi, bookkeeper at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park, was an arrival from the South and plans to remain for a few days before departing to take up his duties at the first mentioned track.
