13 IN ALLEN ESTABLISHMENT Texan Has No Superstitions Wins Purse With His First Starter at the Fair Grounds. NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec 2. Marion Allen might harbor some superstitions, such as quivering at the thought of a black cat crossing his path, walking under a ladder or zipping the edge off two dollar bills, but number thirteen holds no fear for the Texan, who has a modest stable of horses here which race for Mrs. Marion Allen. Although the Aliens drew page thirteen in the registration book, the very first horse to be sent to the races by Allen was returned a winner, the successful campaigner being Brides Delight. Two half sisters of Brides Delight are others in the outfit along with the veteran Aurebon. Brides Delight, Born Lucky and Mehi, the latter a yearling filly, are all from Bride o the Wind, a mare which Allens father campaigned over the New Orleans track with a good measure of success a number of years ago.
