FRIDAY IS ENTRY DEADLINE Audubon and Christmas Handicaps Will Attrajct Best Horses. Sprint Race and Route Affair Slated for Holidays at the Fair Grounds Track. NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 21. The deadline for making entries for the Audubon and Christmas Handicaps, holiday features on the Louisiana Jockey Clubs schedule is Friday, and indications point to formidable fields being assembled for both of these contests, one 04 which is a sprint and the other to be decided over a route of ground. Those expected to clash in the Carrollton Handicap, holding the spotlight on Saturdays program at the Fair Grounds, are Joe W. Browns Jewell Dorsett, James Emerys Taken, Mrs. A. M. Creechs Shining Heels and Gato, W. F. Mannaghs Sweet Adeline, Sangreal, Mrs. Ed. Haughtons Rough Diamond, R. A. Cowards Upslala, Jouett Shouses Jbanny, T. J. Hills White Cockade, among others. Theres a possibility that E. E. Russell, trainer of the W. W. Adams stable, which is the most successful outfit in the matter of money earned at the Louisiana Jockey Club thus far, will depend on Warlaine for his representative in the ,000 added Christmas Handicap, since the racer showed to such good advantage in annexing the Jefferson Park Handicap a couple of weeks ago. Warlaine easily trounced his opposition on this occasion, and the Christmas is likely to be decided by the same band in the yuletide event. Warlaine trimmed Gato, Chance Ray, Alan Chicle, Dnieper Catomar, OBantam, Rich Cream and Whipowill at the mile and a sixteenth distance. All of the foregoing with the exception of OBantam, which has since been transferred to Florida for campaigning, are likely to line up in the starting gate Monday afternoon for the annual running of the Christmas Handicap. Busy K., D. A. Woods star performer, is going along splendidly in training now, and it would not be surprising if this son of Busy American is included among the contestants. I -:
