I SANTA ANITA TURF NOTES o $ J. G. Brown, trainer for Mrs. V. Wyse, arrived from New Orleans. While in the Crescent City, the veteran horseman arranged for the c:npaigning of six head of Mrs. Wyses horses, which were left in charge of trainer W. M. Cox. The main division of the Wyse horses are on the grounds at Santa Anita. T.ner Charles J. Casey, who raced the horses of Miss Jean Chatburn with considerable success and who developed the ster-lir.fz twe -year-old Joy Boy, filed his registration for the horse Mickeys Best, which races jfor McKinley Brian. Casey said he expected to acquire several other performers in the near future. Anthony Pelleted, who has been coming to Santa Anita since the revival of racing in southern California, is due in this week rom I his home at New Orleans. Pclleteri journeyed to the southern city for a brief vacation before coming here to resume his training duties of the large string he has on the grounds. A. Frost, assistant trainer has be,en directing the conditioning of the animals during the absence of Pelleted. Apprentice Victor Bovine, who is under contract to F. E. Fitzgerald, can scale as low as 103. .pounds and gives nromise of developing into a capable saddle performer.
