U. S. SENDING FLOUR TO SPAIN WASHINGTON, D. C, Dec 21 The American government today announced it will send 600,000 barrels of flour to Spain during the next six months for distribution to the needy in both Loyalist and Insurgent territory. Acting secretary of state Sumner Welles said the flour is urgently needed to prevent widespread loss of life among women and children. The distribution, which will be made through the American Red Cross, represents a ten fold increase over previous distribution in Spain.
