ABBOTS HOUR BIG SURPRISE NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 21 Abbots Hour is the most despised thoroughbred performing at the Fair Grounds, this season, that is, from a betting standpoint. H. D., Cox four-year-old bay gelding has won two races at the Louisiana Jockey Clubs track thus far und on both occasions returned a" hatfulL to the meager band of supporters. Perhaps as the season goes along more faith, will be displayed by the speculatively inclined, now that he has demonstrated a penchant for winning races. Even Cox didnt harbor a great deal of- hope in Abbots Hours chances on either one of the occasions when he stepped down in front at lucrative odds.
