Won easily; second and third driving. SUSIE ROOSTER slipped through on the inside when the leaders ran out on the turn for home, then drew away into an easy lead in the final eighth OLD WIZARD displayed keen early speed, but bore out badly while rounding the stretch turn, carrying GLEN VALLEY with him and in the final test shook off the latter. GLEN VALLEY finished tiring DOCTOR W. raced forwardlv and was going well at the end after saving ground through the stretch. SAFE BID raced evenlv. PEHAMIS displayed the most speed throuchout and was never seriously threatened. FAST WORK worked way up on the outside rounding the top turn, saved eround in the stretch and finished stoutly. BLUEBIRD raced forwardlv throughout, but tired in the run home. IMA LADY improved her position while rounding the far turn and heM on fairly *ell to the end. UNCLE JULY saved ground in the stretch and finished well. QUEEN CLARICE was in close quarter-: earlv and tired as if short in the last quarter. The others tired. NANAHCUB worked way up on the outside rounding the top turn and came stronelv in dwa quarters next to the inner rail through the stretch. The latter displayed keen speed until midway of the stretch, but tired in the final te =t. NORMAN SLOAT raced forwardly to the final eighth, then tired. GENERAL LEONEE and OCEAN TIDE suffered serious interference on the far turn and were forced to pull up sharply. DISTRACT raced on the outside of MARIE OLYMPIA to the stretch, had the most in reserve when straightened out for the run home and drew away into an easy lead in the last eighth. BEHAVE saed ground for half the trip, then came to the outside in the last quarter and finished strongly. MARIE OLYMPIA had no excuses and tired when the real issue came. FLORIAN II. closed strongly on the outside entering the stretch, responded gamely to keen urging throughout the final eighth and got up in the last stride. WAR ACE saved ground rounding the last turn, took command nearing the stretch turn and held on courageously in the final drive. CHIEFJEAN displayed good speed to the stretch, weakened thereafter, but held the others safe. ERINS SWEEP finished with a belated stretch rush. TUREEN came again under keen urging in the last eishth and outlasted JEAN LEE. The i-tter was a keen factor until well into the stretch, then tired. MENTION, racini on the outside, was a l.een factor until midway of the stretch, but tired rapidly in the closing stages. DICK BRAY closed some ground. The others tired.
