Downs Corporation Name LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 5.— The company which operates Churchill Downs, home of the world famous Kentucky Derby, had its name officially changed today to Churchill Downs, Inc. The corporation was formerly known as Churchill Downs-Latonia, Inc., and the switch to the new name was approved by the secretary of state. The Latonia course recently was sold to the Standard Oil Company of Ohio.
