AERIAL TORPEDO, alertly handled, took command at once, set the pace to the stretch under pressure from BLANDINA. disposed of the latter and held ICY RUN safe. ICY RUN secured a good position early, came determinedly when hard urged in the drive, but could not get to the winner. SMOKIN OTT, slow to begin, worked way up steadily and finished fast under punishment. MEADOWBROOK raced evenly throughout and had no mishaps. BLANDINA tired after forcing the pace to the final eighth. STATELY SOUL finished fast after beeinning slowly. SPECTS GAL had a rough trip. HADATIME. well placed and a forward factor from the start, came determinedly when hard urged in the stretch and, after disposing of ACKWELL. drew clear. The latter went to the front approaching the final turn and had a clear lead when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the winner. SAY NOMORE worked her way up steadily and finished resolutely under punishment in a good effort. SPARKLING GEM could not better his position when hard ureed in the final quarter. INVOICE was unable to threaten under good handling and had no excuse. SEEKONK tired. AIR SPRITE could not keep up. YANKEE NOTIONS quit suddenly after showing good speed through the first half mile. SHORT LIFE, alertly handled, began quickly and. after establishing a good lead, continued without need of urging to win with something left. CAPTAIN ZAC stumbled coming out of the gate and worked way up steadily thereafter, but could not menace the winner, although easily besting the others. CARBONATE passed tired horses in the stretch. LUROID was never dangerous. BAXTER STREET could not keep up. CHES N" JESS had good speed to the stretch, then gave way suddenly. DICK MACAW was done early. Overweight — Captain Zac, 2 pounds. Won driving; second and third the same. PIG TAILS went to the front on the tu*i, continued gamely under brisk urging and lasted to withstand QUESTVIVE. The latter, never far back, came between horses entering the stretch and, responding to brisk handling, was getting to the winner at the close. EMOLUMENT, slow to begin and far back for five eighths, came to the oufside for the drive and closed with a rush. SIS BAKER faltered after racing forwardly placed to the final eighth. GOLD PRINCESS raced evenly throughout and had no mishaps. VALDINA MELIA was never dangerous. FILLI-BEG gave way suddenly after racing with the leaders to the last eighth. CRYSTAL was never prominent. TED O. took command in the back stretch, held a good lead when settled for the drive, but had to be hard ridden to withstand MIAH. MIAH secured a good position after the opening quarter, came with good courage when subjected to punishment in the drive, but could not get to the winner. DARBY DEEDEE saved ground while in hand to the stretch, swerved to the outside near the eighth post when put to punishment and lost all chance. HES IT secured a good position on the final turn, then failed to respond when hard urged in the drive. HOLLY tired after racing forwardly placed for three-quarters. STAR WHIZ could not threaten. WISE BARRISTER took command approaching the stretch but could not withstand the winner. DAZZLEMENT, in hand and saving ground through the first half mile, improved his position steadily thereafter and closed determinedly on the extreme outside. PERAGRA could not reach the leaders under hustling tactics and had no excuse. VEILED PROPHET was through early. THOS tired after racing forwardly placed to the half mile post.
