FLYING JUNIOR rushed into contention on the outside, responded to strong handling when reaching the lead, was unable to draw clear and, forced a trifle wide in the late stages, outfinished PRETTY IS. The latter took command at once, was unable to draw clear, gave way midway of he stretch, then came again and finished strongest. LANCELEAF was forced wide early and closed fcoldlv. VERY QUAINT moved forward throueh the field. ATHALIAH was in close quarters. HUINCA LOO made up ground. JOHNS TEDDY had speed. FLYING JOHN dropped back soon after the start and drifted out entering the stretch. THE KILLER took command under enereetic handling, saved ground throughout, responded to strong handling when threatened, relinquished the lead entering the final eighth, then came again and outfinished MAGNIFY. The latter, slow to begin and weakly ridden, was sent to the outside after reaching the stretch and finishd strongly. MALVOIS, a factor from the start and on the outride, forged to the front before entering the final eighth, was unable to draw clear and hung in the last stride. FLYTNG REIGH dropped back on the turn, was sent to the inside for the drive and closed with a rush. SWEEPING LEE began slowlv and finished fast on the outside. DISCLOSE ran in spat*. GLEN-NA-MONA, away slowly and under steadying restraint for five-eighths, moved into command after leaving the seventh jump and, drawing clear swiftly, responded to strong urging when JACKET offered a determined bid going into the fifteenth brush to hold the latter safe. JACKET, reserved for a mile, improved his position under light urging and, after making a bid going into the final hazard, tired near the end. DUNDRILLIN dropped back after the fourth brush, but came again after leaving the tenth, then failed to menace the leaders and came back with a badly cut near hind leg. WEST HADDON made up ground. BALK tired after improving his position. BAGPIPE had speed, but dropped back after hobbling at the sixth brush. AFRICAN BOY was outrun. ROUGEMONT quit badly after clearing the eighth hazard. RINGMENOW was hustled forward on the outside, bore over when moving into the lead on the turn, drew clear rapidly and increased his advantage thereafter, winning with something left, but appeared sore after pulling up. LIBERTY JR., under strong handling from the start, forced QUARTER TIME wide when drifting out on the stretch turn and tired near the end. DEFENSE BOND was shuffled back on the turn, saved ground thereafter and finished/ under strong pressure. KANLAST raced on the inside in the drive. POMPION sprinted into a commanding lead swiftly, set a keen pace, was put to strong urging when tiring and withstood THIRD DEGREE. The latter, slow to reach his best stride, was forced wide when racing forwardly, then was not overly persevered with in the drive, but was fast wearing down the winner. DESIGNATOR, a factor from the start, held on well. JAY JAY raced wide in the ttretch. JONGLEUR and WESTNESIA were outrun. COMEDIAN had brief speed. The latter, forced to lose ground when racing forwardly, closed resolutely. RASCAL moved forward with a rush, attempted to bear out when offering a bold bid entering the stretch, came again when straight and weakened in the last strides. ANTICLIMAX stumbled at the start, was well back to the stretch and made up ground thereafter. COOCHS BRIDGE stopped badly after reaching contention. TROON had good speed and quit. HIGH ARCH, reserved until ready, went into command on the stretch turn but was unable to draw clear and gave way when the winner challenged, though holding on well. RAHANEE improved her position on the inside and, sent to the outside for racing room, finished strongly. PREDICATE tired and pulled up dinky. COUNT MAURICE, steadied early, went into command when ready and was put to strong urging when challenged, but tired rapidly after going a mile and three-eighths. MIGHTILY had sPeed; gave way when the winner challenged and tired in the drive. HELENS LAD was outrun. SAY JUDGE showed little. BATTLE WON was unable to keep up.
