Murphy Was ANTT AXIS Clever young runner who should fare better next time out. Was in early trouble in last. BANKER JIM Useful distance runner who might have needed last race. Seems to be in good condition. SIRDE S t r o n g-ruhning three-year-old from the West Coast. Raced wide in stretch in first try here. SWEET STORY Seems to like the turf course and may win next time out on the grass. BIBELOT Forced to go wide in the stretch in last effort and missed put. SUBDEB Was well fancied in first start but could do no better than third. There will be other days. SPITHA Looked like a shifty youngster in running second in first outing here. SUPERMONT Was forced to go wide when favored in last start. Can do better and probably will. CADMIUM Disqualified after finishing first in initial try at Washington Park. Seems to be in excellent shape. MIXER Closed a gap in last race to finish strongly. Will bear watching at a distance. K. DORKO Missed when favored in last. Was forced to race wide on the stretch turn. Should win soon. TRANSFRAN Forced to race around field and tired under too much weight in last. Could be a goodie on the grass. PINDUS Well-bred youngster who probably needed first start. Was the favorite regardless of inexperience. FAINT HEARTED Was in trouble in the stretch last time out. Is well bred youngster from Mayer Stable. TWOSY Another from the Calumet Farm who have few poor horses. Won like a good one last out. MISS MONARCH Is in prime condition and likes mud. Will be tough to beat when pitted against own kind. LAYOUT Closed a gap in last. Seems to like a distance and may be rounding to best form. LEAVENWORTH Failed when h e a v i 1 y backed in last race. Next start may be it. Has good record. By C. H. Johnson Det ARIDISICAL May last against own classification in one of those mile and one-sixteenth numbers. Tired badly in drive last out. BEAUWOLF Did not extend himself too much until too late in recent start. May surprise. BRING ME HOME Now that this four-year-old has had a race over the local strip he should soon score. Earlier efforts this year indicate he is capable of taking the measure of same band as last encountered. BY CONSCRIPT Did not run his race last out. Can do better and, deserves another chance. EASY JACK Made up ground when too late in recent effort. Should be able to beat a cheap field. FOMENT Was waited with too long last out. If more forwardly placed should be able to, earn a purse against same kind as last encountered. GALA GRIP Cheap sort due to earn brackets soon. GALORITA Should soon capture one of those mile and one-sixtenth numbers for cheaper horses. HAREBELL Eliminated while making her move through stretch in recent mile and one-sixteenth event. Due to make amends for that defeat. HUGHIE L. Has improved with racing and should not be long winning. KING EPITHET Finished second last out. May have been a bit short. Is capable of trouncing same kind. MIA MARIA This two-year-old showed enough last out to indicate she will not be long scoring. PIG TAILS Did not get started until too late and then ran over horses in recent try. TOY-QUAY But for being bothered in the drive this filly would have won her last outing. Should soon triumph over a distance of ground. By J. J. HahnJtP.y- BRASTOWN Hustled into a long early lead in last start and had nothing left for the drive. Is fit and ready to win a heat over the local track. SILVER B. Throw out last race. Is capable of doing better. Last winning race was too good for this veteran to run so bad on June 20. PORTOLA STAR Was short in first appearance here. Usually wins a race or two at each meeting. Old, but steady. HOOKS Eligible for non-winners this year. Has been knocking at the door and wont be long before he enters the winners circle. HAPPY DASH Another one who likes the Fairmount track. Racing wide in the stretch has cost him at least two races during the current season. LEAP YEAR LADY Getting good again. Throw out last race. Could hot outrun Lookout Rascal in that event. Ready to earn brackets. JUSTLUK Improving with racing. Ap-. pears to like a distance of five furlongs or over. Wont be long before he leaves the ranks of non-winners. MANHUNT A veteran who wins at each meeting here. Is as sharp as hands can make him and all he needs is a route.- Is eligible for non-winners of two races in 1944. VALDINA FOP Was rushed too much in last distance race. One of these days hell come from behind and defeat the same kind who beat him at one mile and a sixteenth on June 16. BEACH MISS Showing steady improvement after a long time away from the races. May surprise before the end of the meeting. GRAND BONNY Has been a beaten favorite several times at the meeting. Seldom fails to run a good race. This honest horse should find the right field before the close of the season. TED MOSQUERO A right smart two-year-old. Needed racing experience and off his last race, should not find it hard to leave the ranks of maidens. By C. J. Connors Aqu. GREY WING This fellow, a topnotch plater, will improve after a lay-off. FAISEUR Improving and a drop in classification will enable him to earn brackets. SARGE Last race -a good one and a slight improvement will enable him to earn a purse. RAMILLIES Was blocked at far turn in last start and then came again. Is on edge and should add another purse to his credit this week. SAROS Was blocked several times in his last start and then showed a good effort. PROOF COHj A maiden who is bound to graduate before very long. Has speed and is ready. CLAN OGAEL Made up some ground in his last start and improvement in a cheap route event can be expected. LADY ECCLESTON Was carried wide in last start and showed a good effort. Tab for future improvement. REASON This fellow turned in a smashing effort in last start and is bound to . win before long. CONCORDIAN Last race a topnotch effort and he may develop into a better- than-average juvenile. BRIC A BAC Has speed and when properly placed will be a strong factor. STEEP ASCENT Raced well after a long let-up and may show improvement with racing. Tab for a better grade claiming sprint. CORYDON Likes a route and turned in a good effort in last start. This one should improve in near future. MISS BISCUIT Last race below best form on this miss and improvement can be expected in near future. GRAND PETER Showed an even effort in debut" here and improvement should result from that effort. JOEY B. A disappointment in last start but that effort can be disregarded. ByD.S.Fairfal-- PATRIOTISM Is capable of downing top flight field in rough going. YANKEE PARTY Always gives a good effort when matched with ,250 rivals at mile or over. CAVATORTA Poorly ridden last out. Can turn back same kind with better racing luck. SUN HEROD Two-year-old maiden ready to graduate at an early date. FLYING CONNIE Should earn a purse when placed with ,500 rivals on a fast track. HY-COP Always gives good account of himself in ,500 sprints. CORONAL Pitched a bit too high in the Bunker Hill, will be hard to trip when dropped a notch. SOLLURE Is one of the best horses on the grounds and is training splendidly. WEEPING Ran greenly behind Star Finder. That race should serve as a stepping stone to an early victory. PrrnSTRAW Prefers "off" track for best effort. Belongs with cheap routers. RISKTON Should garner a purse when matched with grade "E" rivals. STAR MAEDIC This plater showed to good advantage in last outing and may score against ,500 field at six furlongs. REAPING GLORY Is training in clever fashion and can handle a top band of routers. BAROQUE Was weakly handled when defeated by Great Rush, should make amends for that reverse in same class. LIGHTFOOT LEE Trifle short when beaten by Up the Creek. HALCYON BOY Recent efforts indicate this plater will visit winners circle soon. ROUGH COMMAND Dangerous when matched against ,000 sprinters. Any txandclc suits VALDINA LAMAR One of the top three- year-olds quartered at Suffolk Downs. Will take a lot of beating next out. HAPPY PRINCE Clever sort in ,500 company at six furlongs over any kind of track. By E, P. Heagerty Del. DIXIE BOUND-This juvenile was a trifle short when well fancied in debut. Should, improve off the race. TURNABOUT Was well meant last out but was a victim of bad luck. Any distance should suit this one. FIRST ADMIRAL Much the best when second to-Xady Gremlin. A repeat of that race would earn brackets. ARAKAN Was much the best when breaking his maiden on Wednesday Can beat better ones. ROUGH SHOWER Poorly handled when second last out. Should earn brackets in near future. POMPOUS FOX Had a three-quarter mile conditioner the other day and is ready for a winning effort. SLR COUNSELLOR Three-quarters of a mile on a fast track will make this fellow a tough one to handle. SUN GALOMAR Showed marked improvement last out and should find a field he can beat over a distance of ground. WAR SHY A cheap router who should have won last out. Needs only a share of racing luck to score. NOW-ME Almost knocked down at the first turn in most recent outing. Better than generally rated H. HOUR Should not be long graduating from the maiden ranks. May do so at expense of good ones. SERVICE RIBBON Didnt like the "off" track that prevailed for that last race. Is a good one on fast strip. TOSS UP Improvement was noted last out. Could beat a field of ,000 routers. CUSHLAMACREE Had to overcome a slow start when finishing second to Boston Blue. PAVOT An untried two-year-old who can, really turn it on. May graduate at first asking.
