Valdina Lamar Breezes Mile EAST BOSTON, Mass., June 24. A heavy fog during morning hours cut training activities at Suffolk Downs to a minimum. Despite the unfavorable conditions a few thoroughbreds braved the heavy track for exercise, among which was the unbeaten Valdina Lamar, who breezed a mile in 1:50. Alabama impressed with a handy six furlongs in 1:16, while Great Rush went a mile between races Friday afternoon in 1:45.
