Hialeah Applies for Dates MIAMI, Fla., June 24. Hialeah Race Course, Inc., has filed a formal application for racing dates next winter with the Florida State Racing . Commission at Tallahassee. The Hialeah Park organization seeks a license to conduct a 50-day meeting during the period between January 3 and March 3. The commission is tentatively scheduled to hold a meeting in mid-July to consider all date applications. The proposed opening of Hialeah Park is earlier than in previous years when the meetings began in mid-January.
