REALMAN, in hand until reaching the stretch, came between horses entering the stretch and, responding to punishment, disposed of the leaders during the final eighth. . CUMSHAW, a forward factor throughout, took command when set down for the drive and continued gamely, but was unable to hold the winner. EPAY made the pace during the first half and then faltered. ALL BRIGHT went to the front early, established a dear lead and won without need of urging; MIANAMI raced nearest ALL BRIGHT after the start, responded readily when roused during the stretch run,; but could not menace the winner and just lasted to best JAMOKE. The latter, away fast, raced wide the entire trip and finished well on her own courage. SMOOTHY had no mishaps. SOLID SENDER had speed to the stretch and then tired. LONE FLAME was outrun. FLOAT ME, slow to begin, improved Ins position steadily while racing on the outside to the stretch, but failed to respond when set down for the drive. CANEE lacked early s-peed. TRY FLYING made the pace to the stretch and then gave way. ROZIANTE began slowly. SMART BET, forwardly placed to the stretch, bore but badly on the final turn and lost all chance. BULLIUM went to the front early, established a long lead during the first three-eighths, but had to be hard ridden thereafter to hold SUN HEROD safe. The latter improved his position to the stretch and closed determinedly under punishment, but could not overhaul the winner, although easily best of the others. FIJORD went wide on the stretch turn. FLEET SISTER began slowly, lost ground on the final turn and could not threaten the leaders. SUNREDGRA had early speed. JEMIMA forced the pace to the stretch and then gave way. CAVATORTA, in hand and on the outside to the stretch, came gamely when set down for the drive and, after disposing of PATRIOTISM, appeared ready to draw clear. PATRIOTISM, outrun early, moved up with a rush on the inside after a half and reached the lead, but could not withstand the winner. BLACK SWAN, much used engaging PIQUE during the first half, failed to threaten when set down for the drive. GREEN BUSH, slow to begin and outrun to the stretch, came to the inside thereafter and closed strongly under punishment. PIQUE held on well to the final eighth, then gave way. F. B.
