Apprentice Jack Favorite Shows Good Detroit Form DETROIT, Mich., June 24. Just let an apprentice show some promise as a rider and his contract employer is besieged with offers for the lads papers. That is just what has happened in the case of Jack Favorite, contracted to Harry Trotsek, who has O. Frank Woodwards horses at the Fair Grounds. Favorite has won on two of his three mounts here so far, both saddle successes taking place in novice jockey races, and quite a few horsemen have approached Trotsek regarding purchase of the boys papers. A native of Chester, Pa., and 16 years of age, Favorite scales at 95 pounds and has been with Trotsek slightly more than a year.
