WHOSAIDIT, outrun early, moved into closer contention on the outside on the turn and, closing fast on the outside, was up in the final stride. BONA DEA was always a forward factor, moved up stoutly to take a short lead at the sixteenth post and just failed to last. FANNIE MAC, forwardly placed from the start, finished "stoutly between horses. SNAPPY VERSE took command entering the stretch, drew clear, but swerved out when HUX apparently became confused. SEA TACK was never prominent. AXELSON quit badly after showing early speed. Scratched— 99879 High Brow, 110. Snappy Verse claimed by E. G. Drake. SECOND RACE 5-8 MILE. FLYING JENNY, much the best, took command at once, was steadied in front throughout and drew out easily in the stretch. MY MARGIE, a stout contender from the beginning lost some ground when forced to race slightly wide and hung on stubbornly, but was no match for the winner. REGULARITY moved into closer contention on the turn and closed stoutly. HELIOTROPE was in close quarters leaving the backstretch, was eased back and moved up behind horses in the stretch, then flattened out. GRACE HY was unable to engage the leaders. BULL DOG MISS fell back steadily. Daily Double on the First and Second Races Paid 55.30. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. HAIRAN BEST, slow to settle in stride, moved up quickly on the outside on the turn, went around the leaders to take command in the stretch and drew out under pressure. LOMA MAR ROGUE, away fastest, took a clear lead in the backstretch, gave way to the winner and withstood a stiff challenge from CHARLES BRYCE. The latter, closest to the early pace and on the inside, hung on stubbornly. HARRY O. raced forwardly and evenly in a good effort. ALL TEDDY was unable to engage the leaders DOC YAK closed some ground from a slow beginning. Overweight— All Teddy, 1 pound. Harry 0. claimed by H. Cantor. Loma Mar Rogue claimed by H. Torriente.
