SONG SPINNER, in hand and never far back to the stretch, responded to brisk handling in the drive and, after disposing of the leaders, lasted to withstand REDROCK CANYON. The latter, slow to begin and outrun to the upper turn, came gamely when hard ridden through the stretch and was getting to the winner at the finish. GREVILLE raced evenly in a good effort and had no mishap KNIGHT CAPPY made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then faltered during the drive. ROSE EXHIBIT saved ground throughout and could not get to the leaders when roused for the stretch run. PAINTER tired. GIANT GUILD raced wide. DR. BONES could not keep up. BAYCHAMP had early speed. WAR QUEST tired badly after five furlongs. SWEET STORY stumbled and fell soon after the beginning and MAGIN0T LINE struck the former and went down a few yards distant. HILLS PALM, forwardly placed from tne beginning, was forced wide on the final turn, came determinedly when hard ridden through the stretch and disposed of MAIHIGH in the last strides. MAIHIGH, on the outside to the upper turn, assumed command after the half, held a clear advantage when settled for the drive, but was unable to hold the winner, just missing. COUSIN MAMIE went to the front early and made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. VALDINA SINGER raced well and had no excuse. CAPTAIN FURY, on the inside throughout, made a good bid approaching the stretch, then tired. MIMI was never dangerous under good handling. ENAJ was outrun. FLO NELL had early speed. SOUTHERN BOY began slowly. PRETTY THING raced wide. KINGS GLORY quit. CINDA B., alertly handled, went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. STARS AT NIGHT raced evenly in a good effort. BETTY VAN began slowly, but finished fast under urging. DE BRAND, well ridden, raced evenly in a sharp effort and had no mishap. ONE BLUE began fast, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. HAPPY HASTE, taken up sharply immediately after the beginning, failed to threaten thereafter. WEYNOT AL was outrun. HAIR STYLIST and JAN-ROD were far back throughout. LOU JAY S., on the inside and far back to the final quarter, finished fast under punishment. NONCHALANTA, on the outside throughout, could not get to the leaders when set down for the drive. TIDE-OVER, forwardly placed from the beginning, went to the front approaching the stretch and continued gamely under urging, but was not good enough for the winner, although easily best of the others. DEVILS ISLAND, slow to begin and far back early, moved up entering the stretch, but could not better his position thereafter. K. THORMOND, forwardly placed from the beginning, came willingly wheif roused for the drive, but could not menace the winner. GUY HOTTEL, outrun to the final quarter, passed tiring horses during the stretch run. LOYAL, pinched back after breaking well, worked his way forward steadily thereafter, but could not threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. BOLO FANCY raced evenly without mishap. LATENT, on the outside throughout, never was dangerous. RED TED gave way after making the pace for fice furlongs. RECORD MARCH could not keep up and tired badly during the final furlong. MR.
