PREOCCUPY was sent to the front at once, made the pace under steady rating and, responding to a gooa hand ride during the stretch run, held BIG CASINO safe. The latter, never far back and on the outside, finished willingly under urging, but could not menace the winner. FLEETRIDGE saved ground entering the stretch, secured a good position, then faltered during the late stages. EVIDENT had a rough trip. GOTHAM was done early. RICHWOOD BOY was never dangerous. OUR QUESTIONS had early speed, but failed to stay. MAIN BATTERY was overmatched. FIFTEENTH UNSEATED HIS RIDER AND RAN OFF BEFORE THE START, WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED AND ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. ADENOS, slow to reach his best stride and saving ground while far back to the upper turn, came out for the drive and, responding to strong handling, wore down KANTAR RUN in the last sixteenth. The latter, much used engaging the leaders for five-eighths, went to the front near the stretch, but was weakly handled and could not withstand the winner. BOHOL lacked early speed, but closed willingly under urging. GALLANT SON made the pace to the half, then weakened. WATCH CHILLA failed to stay after showing early speed. SPRING DUN, in hand to the stretch, moved up boldly when roused for the drive, but could not threaten the winner, although easily best of the others. ALL BUSINESS raced evenly and had no mishap. ONEMORE could not threaten when set down for the drive. SUNNYS HONEY engaged ALUMONT to the stretch, then gave way. BUDDY MAISEL tired. JEANREE raced wide. GOLD CLOCK showed nothing.
