Three Dots Heading For Hawthorne Track Will Carry Top Impost in Crete On Inaugural Lincoln Program HAWTHORNE, Stickney, 111.. May 8.— Class horses who will appear in some of the added-money stake races at the Lincoln Fields meeting, which opens at historic Hawthorne next Monday afternoon, are expected to leave Churchill Downs over the week-end. According to racing secretary Lawrence Bogenschutz, J. Howard Rouses Three Dots, who was given the top impost of 124 pounds for the 0,000 Crete Handicap, the opening-day feature at six furlongs, is expected to be here in time for the inaugural day feature and will most likely leave Louisville either Friday or Saturday night. John Marschs Mighty Story, winner of the 5,000 Francis S. Peabody Memorial last year; Mrs. J. S. Letelliers Jack S. L., winner of the Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs Derby week, and W. W. Jones Bull Play are also expected to make the overnight jaunt from the Downs to Hawthorne in time for the running of the Crete. Mighty Storys weight for the coming Crete Handicap is 121 pounds, while Jack S. L. has been assigned 119 pounds, with Bull Play entered at 114 pounds. All told. 22 nominees were named for the Crete.
