Draw Lincoln Opening-Day Entries at Hawthorne HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 8 — Lawrence Bogenschutz, racing secretary for the Lincoln Fields-at-Hawthorne meeting that opens May 12 for a 30-day session, stated that entries for the initial card next Monday would be drawn at Hawthorne on Saturday, May 10. Entries during the meeting will be accepted at Sportsmans Park by Robert P. McAuliffe and William J. Shelley, while Pat MacDonald will be at Lincoln Fields each day. W. A. Reagan and Thomas A. Steele will be at Hawthorne. Scratch time each morning will be 8 a. m. except Saturdays when the time will be advanced to 7:30 a. m. Operatives of the Thoroughbred Racing and Protective Bureau stated that owners of more than 60 horses have taken advantage of the free tattooing service being offered at Hawthorne. The agents are at present working on Historian and 35 others of the Woolford Farm Stable.
