SUNLETTE rallied on the outside through the stretch and wore down SPEED BALL. The latter was able to drive between horses to assume command in the early stretch and failed to last. GOOD CROSS was always prominent and had to be taken up while lugging in near the furlong pole. FREELANDS LAD weakened from his early usage. BLOODHOUND raced wide in an even effort. WISETTE weakened. PONDSHEN was hard ridden to attain the lead on the turn and faltered under pressure. The others showed nothing. RESOJET raced wide while moving into contention and drew clear under intermittent pressure through the stretch. DESPITE was always prominent, but was no match for the winner. ABBES FIRST showed good speed along the inside around the turn and weakened. BEST BIB challenged for the lead rounding the turn, but tired under pressure during the drive LITTLE BOBBY closed willingly. PAPPY BOY gave way to THE CONGA on the turn, assumed the lead again on the inside of the furlong pole and lasted while drifting out SECOND TRY dropped far out of contention soon after the start, moved into contention rapidly on the turn then was forced wide while challenging. A claim of foul was not allowed. SNOW KING II raced prominently placed from the beginning, ran up on the heels of PAPPY BOY when the latter drifted out, then was taken up and closed willingly. THE CONGA took command on the turn, held a daylight advantage in the early stretch and faltered badly. BALCURATE was through after a half mile. BROWN RUIN was steadied within striking distance of the leaders, rallied well when roused and held sway under pressure. DARGLO was always prominent, but could not stay with the winner through the stretch. CALENDAR, badly outrun early, moved boldly on the outside and closed with good energy. EXPLORATION was in close quarters while trailing the field early, moved with a rush on the turn, was again steadied when in close quarters between horses and closed full of run. LITTLE ACTION made up no ground in the final drive. TEDDY SMART turned back a challenge from DARGLO at the half-mile pole to retain a commanding lead, then faltered badly in the stretch run. LITTLE HARP was hustled to the front in the opening strides, was perfectly rated while setting the pace and won without need of pressure. EL MONO, slower than usual to settle in stride, moved through on the inside turning for home, but was no match for the winner. SEND OFF showed an even effort. OFF-ISLANDER pressed the pace for a half mile and faltered. MAGNUS caught a tired horse. USELESS went in the air at the break, was unable to do his best while in close quarters on the inside along the backstretch and flattened out badly. JOUSTING MATCH rallied only mildly and could make up no ground. TURNABOUT, steadied within striking distance of the leader, flattened out when set down for tha drive. LION RAMPANT, slow as usual to settle into stride, moved within striking distance entering the stretch, then hung. CARIBOU was always far back and refused to extend himself. BARI, under stout restraint to midway of the final turn, moved with a rush on the outside and drew clear under mild urging. CAPTAIN KIDD, closer than usual to the early pace, circled the field to take the lead, but could not resist the winner. DISPELLED was always prominent, but weakened. RENO failed to seriously threaten. DRAW ONE tired after setting the pace. SWEET HASH was used up racing with the pace. IRISH ROGUE was never a serious threat after the first half mile.
