Memorial Day Purse Tests Routers at Randall Park RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio., May 29. In place of the handicap, forced to be cancelled due to withdrawals, horsemen shying away from the redoubtable South Dakota, the Memorial Day Purse, an allowance affair, highlights tomorrows eight-race card to be presented at the popular track. The feature is to be decided over one and one-sixteenth miles and it has attracted a group of eight, drawn from the ranks of four-year-olds and older. In all likelihood, O. D. Scotts Reds Yucca, triumphant here recently, but at six furlongs, will receive considerable wagering support. He is a hard-hitting sort and can very well negotiate a distance, as well as a sprint. He is to carry 115 pounds, two less than will be shouldered by Happy Guess, one who might likewise be given considerable backing. Others entered are Big Tuffy, a recent winner, and apparently at tops and who will tote 111 pounds; Lem3 Baby, 103, including the apprentice allowance; Theta Girl, 108; Mike K., 113; Anky-los, 108, with the "bug," and Queen Echo, 108 pounds.
