HEESADATE went to the front early, responded to brisk handling during the stretch run and lasted to withstand VERO LUMEN. The latter, outrun to the final quarter, was moved up with a rush in the drive and reached the lead between calls, but was not good enough for HEESADATE. TOPIC, in close quarters nearing the finish, could not threaten when clear. BEAN POT could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. PERSIFLAGE faltered after racing prominently to the last furlong. SONS STYLE could not keep up. ALAFLAG began slowly and was never dangerous. PRAIRIE FLOWER gave wav after racing well to the stretch. MISS BRAND improved her position steadily to the stretch, came between horses during the drive and was up to dispose of SKIP LEVEL in the closing strides. SKIP LEVEL, never far back, reached the lead when settled in the stretch and continued gamely, but was unable to withstand the winner. PRIVATE ANDY, racing in the deepest going, faltered during the stretch run. SHREWLA assumed command at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, then weakened nearing the finish. WAR TRAIN, away alertly, was in hand to the upper turn, assumed command when ready, then drew clear in the stretch without urging. DONNA SUE went to the front early, made the pace for five-eighths, then gave way to WAR TRAIN, but continued willingly under punishment to best the others. GRACE A. failed to rally when set down in the drive. COSSACK BOY was outrun. GROUND SIGNAL tired. LADY SEATON had early speed, but failed to stay. TREE TOT was never a serious factor. OLD SILK, away sluggishly and outrun early, went to the front near the stretch, established a clear advantage and won without the need of urging. CAST OFF, away alertly, gave way to OLD SILK after three-eighths, continued gamely under punishment and was best of the others. DON DEVITO began fast, raced on the outside throughout and could not better his position when set down in the drive. CAPSICUM could not keep up early and was unable to reach the leaders when hard urged through the stretch. MAJOR ATTACK was outrun. DARBY DEIRDRE tired after racing prominently to the last furlong. GOLD CALL, never far back, came gamely when hard ridden through the stretch nd wore down WINNEBAGO in the last sixteenth. WINNEBAGO, a sharp factor from the beginning, came to the middle of the track for the drive and reached the lead, but could not hold GOLD CALL. MY SCOTT, forwardly placed from .the beginning, assumed command entering the stretch, then faltered. INDIAN TRACE could not better his position when roused for the drive. STAR LADY was away slowly. OVER NIGHT, never far back, improved his position steadily to the stretch, responded readily when mildly roused forthe drive and, after wearing down UNCHALLENGED, won going away. UNCHALLENGED went to the front early, established a long lead near the stretch and held on well to the final furlong, but could not withstand the winner, although easily besf of the others. PERAPTERA away fast, failed to stay after showing early speed. HOME FLIGHT, in the deepest going throughout, was never dangerous. PLAIDLOCH was done early. EXPEDITER was far back throughout. CORYDON, slow to begin and far back early, came gamely when set down for "the stretch run, but could not menace the winner. SPECIALIZED, a sharp factor for three-guarters, weakened during the drive. WOODSMAN, never far back, reached the lead on the final turn, then tired. PURE BRIAR gave a good effort under strong handling. RANDOM BREEZE bumped BILLIES CHOICE on the first turn, moved up boldly when clear and failed to rally when hard ridden during the late stages. TOWN HALL could not threaten while racing in close guarters. ONE HOOK began fast, but could not keep up. DIXIE PEBBLE tired. MELLOW had early speed.
