Eleven Monmouth Park Stakes Close Monday Also Deadline for Supplementary Nominations for Jersey Futurity MONMOUTH PARK, Long Branch, N. J., May 29. Supplementary nominations to the 0,000 New Jersey Futurity and entries for 11 other stakes on Monmouth Parks summer schedule of added-money events are to close at midnight, June 2. Nominations are already being received at the racing offices, indicative of a widespread interest in the northern New Jersey race course among owners and trainers. Richest races on the calendar are the 5,000 Choice Stakes, for three-year-olds, and the 5,000 Monmouth Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, each at a mile and a quarter distance. Many of the equine colonys lesser lights have already been named for these races, with Stymie and Assault also expected to be nominated for the Monmouth. The inaugural feature of the 36-day summer season will be the Colleen Stakes, for two-year-old fillies, for a 0,000 purse. The youngsters will also have their innings in the New Jersey Futurity on July 9, fashioned for New Jersey foals, and in the closing-day Sapling Stakes, July 30. Owners of Futurity eligibles are also being advised that the June 2 closing date is the deadline for second payments to the New Jersey juvenile classic. This payment of 0 follows a nominating payment of 0, with supplementary nominees on payment of an eligibility fee of 00.
