Alfred P. Parker, Ow.ner Of By Jimminy, Succumbs BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 29. Alfred P. Parker, well known on the turf as the owner of By Jimminy, champion three-year-old colt of 1944, died at his New York home yesterday after a brief illness. Parker, who had virtually retired from the turf, was in his late fifties and is survived by his widow, May Feltman Parker; his sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Parsons and Mrs. Susan Forbes, as well as his brother, Edwin Posner. By Jimminy, who was acquired from the late Col. E. R. Bradley, was a comparatively latecomer in the 1944 season, having stepped in a hole during his Kentucky Derby preparation, but later beat the leaders of his generation in the Dwyer, Lawrence Realization and American Derby, among other stakes. The Navy blue Parker silks were also familiar on the French turf before World War n., where they were successful when carried, by Le Becau in the French 2,000 Guineas at Longchamps.
