SNOOKS WINTERS was sent to the front on the inside, drew clear on the turn, was steadied in front and was not seriously threatened. SEA AGAIN, away well, raced forwardly placed and "finished well, but could not threaten the winner. TOTAL WAR raced in closest pursuit of the winner to the stretch and weakened. VICTORY SWEEP trailed early, but made up some ground through the stretch. PLAYALONG was unable to engage the leaders. INSOLATE fell back steadily. DICKY could not keep up. FLOWER BOX, much the best, outran the field to open a clear lead on the turn and drew out to win easily. SPEED BIRD, very sluggish early while trailing, closed a good gap on the outside, finished strongly, but was no match for the winner. TIGERITA raced forwardly ajid evenly and held on well. BRIDGE TERM was a forward factor from the beginning while on the outside, but weakened. NODIN was unable to improve her position. NO MELODY was not prominent. MINSTREL MAID could not keep up. KALARNEY lacked speed to race with the early leaders, moved up readily on the outside when roused in the stretch and drew out under hand urging. PRINCESS MARGE, unabie to outrun the leaders, was taken to the outside for the stretch run and closed well, but could not threaten the winner. MY VALENTINE was forwardly placed from the beginning, took command briefly in the stretch and weakened. BARBARA LU-was promoted to take a clear lead around the turn, but falttened out when challenged. SANDY JAMES was unable to engage the leaders. FOXY WAYS could not threaten DARK TROPHY was outrun. HOSTESS, far back early, was taken to the outside entering the stretch, closed very fast and was drawing away while drifting out. HAPPY DOE improved her position gradually, took command on the outside at the furlong marker, drew clear between calls, but could not resist the fast-closing rush of the winner. TRICKY WILLIE, fastest away, opened up a clear lead, saved ground, but weakened. HOOSIER GAL entered the early pace and flattened out. FLASHAT had early speed, but could not keep up. GOOD GENII was hustled away from the gate into a clear lead, was steadied in front, was taken slightly wide for the better footing entering the stretch, swung back to the inside and had to be sharply roused to hold ROSIE CHINN. The latter was steadied closest to the winner from the beginning and moved up fast on the outside near the end. ANN FRANCES was hustled into closer contention at once, saved ground on the stretch turn, made a feeble bid on the inside, but hung. OVER THE HILL trailed to the stretch, then made up some ground on the outside. PERFECT MISS was unable to engage the leaders. PENNANT O WAR fell back steadily. GOLDEN MAN, fastest away and off the rail for good footing, took a short lead on the back stretch, gave way to the winner on the stretch turn, then would not extend himself.
