To House Ascot Overflow At Thistle Down Course RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 25.— Dan E. Cronin, president of the Ohio Sports Enterprises, Inc., operators of » Ascot Park, was a visitor here yesterday. Cronin conferred with Harry Allshouse, general manager of the Thistle Down Racing Association, to accommodate the overflow of stables for the Ascot Park meeting at the Thistle Down course. After visiting Ascot, just outside of Akron, Ohio, Cronin returned to Columbus where he is presently managing the Spring meeting at Beulah Park. Cronin stated that preparations are well under way for the session at Ascot Park, which begins on Saturday, June 4. A complete program of refurbishing is presently in progress, with a beautiful and spacious clubhouse being erected as the outstanding improvement. Racing secretary Eugene Bury expects one of the largest colonies of thoroughbreds in the history of Ascot Park. Over 500 horses will be stabled on the grounds, with better than 300 scheduled to be accommodated at Thistle Down.
