Schedule First Twilight Program at Ak-Sar-Ben Non Ferro, Victory Song and Victory Play Meet in Sprint AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 25.— The first of the numerous twilight programs, which will be presented every Thursday throughout the current 32-day Omaha session, attracted capacity fields in each of the scheduled eight races on the well-diversified card. The appropriately named Twilight Purse, a five-furlong test designed for fillies and mares three-year-old and upward, headlines the attractive program which will get under way at 3:30 p.m. Local patrons in the past have displayed considerable enthusiasm in regard to the one-day a week "sundown" card and, a large crowd of "Cornhusker" turfites are expected to be in attendance. A limit field of 18, six of whom are on the "also eligible" list, was named for the five-furlong feature. M. J. Sulas Non Ferro, who gave a creditable performance in the second division of Tuesdays Inaugural Handicap, appears capable of turning back his foes in tomorrows feature, but will have to be at his best to repel such proven speedsters as Mrs. R. O. Burns Victory Song and Floyd Shultz Victory Play. Included in the remainder of the field are Mrs. B. E. Gaughans Process Server, W. D. Rorick and L. O. Lanes War Miss, J. L. Russells Candid Queen, D. L. Whitneys Alberts Pride, J. Hansens Boston Beauty, P. Ybarras Bimebella, H. T. •DeahTs Lady Psychic, P. Robinsons Miss Campbell, Tony Manganos Jeanie Belle, Mrs. C. E. Parkers Sky Toy, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Mulhollands Miss Million, A. Aldreds Helen Pat, Paul Wilsons Vivian C, F. Clan-tons Arcangela, and I. W. Huggetts Gay Coquette. The remainder of the program is comprised of special weights, allowance, and claiming contests, all but one of which numbers the limit number of contenders plus six additional on the "also eligible" list. The fifth event, a six-furlong sprint fashioned for three-year-olds and older maidens and winners of one race, should prove popular from a wagering standpoint with Guy and Walter Shultz Esther K., J. P. Kampineyers Phastaris, and Ray Walters Karsner perhaps the most formidable of the capable group.
