Won easily; second and third driving. WAZA WANA, away alertly and well handled, raced forwardly placed to the stretch, responded readily when shaken up and, after disposing of FIGHTING JOHN, won going away. FIGHTING JOHN went to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then was unable to withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. LADY JO, outrun to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and finished resolutely in a good effort. ROSE OF ERIN failed to rally when set down in the stretch. DANDY PETE was outrun. STATION AGENT never was dangerous CRAM failed to stay after showing early speed. UNCLE DREW was far back throughout. KINGS LASSIE was done early. FENELANE was never a serious factor. HIGH BOSS saved ground while improving his position to the stretch, responded to punishment during the drive and wore down BEE ROSE in . the last strides. BEE ROSE went to the front at once, gave way momentarily to NO LEDDIE between calls near the stretch, then came again, but was unable to hold the winner, although easily best of the others WOW raced wide throughout, but finished determinedly when hard ridden through the stretch. NO LEDDIE engaged BEE ROSE after the start, reached the lead between calls after three-eighths, then weakened. APPLEJACK JAKE was outrun. BILL G. tired after racing well to the stretch. Start good from stall gate. Won easily; second and third driving. TOBO gradually improved his position to the stretch, was sent to the outside at the final turn and, responding readily when shaken up, raced CANARY BIRD into defeat and won going away. CANARY BIRD, never faV back, was much used disposing of TENNESSEAN, heii a short lead when settled for the drive, but was not good enough for the winner. PIPER, away slowly, worked his way forward steadily and closed determinedly in a good effort. PITCHER was outrun. MAHSHELL, forced back at the upper turn, came again when clear, but could not enter serious contention BABYS BROKE tired after racing prominently to the stretch. GOBBLER was done early. COQUINET, sharp factor from the start, reached the lead when settled for the drive, continued willingly but was unable to withstand the winner while easily n besting the others. LUCKY JOSEY went into command at once, made the pace for five-eighths mile, then weakened. SUFFKI reared at the start, was hustled to reach serious contention and raced prominently to the — stretch before tiring. PINE GROVE tired after racing well for three-quarters mile. SIR SPRITE, far back to the upper turn, moved up boldly when called upon and, responding readily when hard ridden through the stretch, wore down PELLICLE to win going away. PELLICLE, in hand until reaching the half-mile pole, went to the front with a rush, established a clear lead and held on determinedly, but could not withstand the winner. FRERE JACQUES, far back until reaching the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and finished fast SEVEN LEAGUE held on well in a sharp effort. LOVE SONNET, fractious at the post, failed to stay after showing early speed. BLUE BADGE could not keep up. MASTER BID made the pace to the upper turn while engaging SHIVAREE, then gave way. The latter, never far back, was sent to the outside for the drive and, responding well when hard ridden finished well, but could not reach the winner. SANTA CLAUS began fast and dropped back after going a quarter, then raced evenly. MAGNUS saved ground entering the stretch, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. 0RISKANY began sluggishly.
